Mount St. Mary’s University – Bruté Hall
Mount St. Mary’s University – Bruté Hall
Description
Bruté Hall is one of the most notoriously haunted buildings on campus. Room 252 in particular has a long history of poltergeist activity dating back to at least the 1970s. Objects have been found moved or thrown, lights and electronics flicker on and off, and beds have been pushed across the floor. The building is named for Father Simon Gabriel Bruté, an early president of the university who died in 1839, and his spirit is said to share Room 252 with its residents.
