Plattsburgh Air Force Base (Now – Plattsburgh International Airport)

Description

Reports of cold spots and strange strobe-type light, apparitions of children, and a window that will not be covered. The base also has a haunted sound throughout certain unpredictable times of horses and soldiers marching — the noise is very loud and overwhelming. Alarms going off on their own, typewriters clicking on their own, sounds of horses and marching, and while on patrol a few officers had an experience or two where they were alone in their vehicles and while the vehicle was at a standstill, there was a very loud bang like someone or something slammed against the side of the vehicle.

Case Notes
Haunted Lineage note: Plattsburgh Air Force Base closed in 1995 and the property now serves as Plattsburgh International Airport and a mixed-use development area. The base's address is commonly referenced as 101 Airport Road (formerly US Oval). Paranormal reports have been consistent with the site's history as an active military installation.
