State University of New York – Plattsburgh – Macdonough Hall
Description
Macdonough Hall is one of the oldest residence halls at SUNY Plattsburgh and is widely considered the most haunted building on campus. Many students and faculty have reported seeing apparitions and hearing strange noises. A popular legend claims the basement was once a morgue for the old Plattsburgh Hospital, though the building has served solely as a dormitory since it opened in 1951.
