A glowing elemental figure composed of swirling earth, fire, water, and air stands protectively in a misty forest clearing, radiating ancient energy and territorial presence.

An Elemental is a non-human entity believed to be tied to the natural world and the four elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Unlike human spirits, elementals have never lived in a physical body and do not follow human logic or social rules. They are often described as protective of the land or a building, and their behavior can range from playful and mischievous to aggressive and territorial.
In folklore and beyond, elementals are often blamed for activity in rural or ancient areas. They are thought to be attracted to natural energy and can be ‘offended’ by changes to their environment,

such as construction or the removal of old trees. Identifying an elemental requires looking for activity that seems tied to the ‘soul’ of the land itself rather than a specific historical person.
