Thoughtform (Tulpa)

A Thoughtform, also known as a ‘tulpa’ in various esoteric traditions, is an entity or manifestation created through the intense, concentrated focus of human thoughts and emotions. Unlike ghosts or spirits that possess a prior human history, a thoughtform is a purely mental construct that has achieved a level of independent existence or perceptibility.
This phenomenon suggests that human consciousness, when driven by powerful intent or collective belief, can exert a mechanical influence on reality, forming a ‘sentient’ energy mass.
In paranormal research, thoughtforms are often cited to explain modern urban legends or entities that seem to appear only after a story becomes widely known. Because they are fueled by the observer’s mind, they can be highly unpredictable and vary in appearance based on the individual’s expectations. Establishing boundaries is critical when investigating suspected thoughtforms, as the very act of focused attention may inadvertently strengthen the entity’s presence.
