Barry Hall – In the nights there are ghosts seen in the girls’ dorm, Barry Hall, on the 2nd floor, and one is reputed to be evil. She was called Mary Walker, and it turned out she did exist back in the 1800s — she is interred at the nearby cemetery up the road from the school. If a girl was in a room by herself or with another girl and they went around signing “Mary Walker” 50 or 100 times, it is said that her face would appear in the mirror — a face so evil, with hair of snakes moving — and you would get scared more by the shade being opened by itself.

Haunted Lineage note: Previously listed as "Fredrick Campus". The official name is Maryland School for the Deaf – Frederick Campus, Barry Hall. Barry Hall was a girls' dormitory at the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) Frederick Campus. The building is no longer standing and has been replaced by the Ijams-Vance Cafeteria building. Barry Hall was originally an Advanced Girls' Dormitory, named after William R. Barry, that later housed the Security Department's first-floor apartment. It was demolished during the winter of 2009-2010 to make way for a new cafeteria building. The legend of Mary Walker and the mirror ritual could not be substantiated through news archives, police records, or historical documents at this time.
