In the 4-South section of the hospital there have been reports of a ghost on the night shift. Mostly just trash cans being turned over (the most common report) but once or twice a month screams may be heard coming from one of the rooms.
Haunted Lineage note: St. Joseph's Hospital operated at 1824 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg, WV and closed in 2014. Reported activity is concentrated in the 4-South section during the night shift. The specific identity of the alleged ghost and the origin of the reported screams could not be substantiated through news archives, police records, or historical documents at this time. The building is now a business park.
