The Union Covered Bridge

Description

It is said there was a death there in the mid-1800's of a boy falling and drowning in the Salt River. At night one can see the boy, and he will try to touch anyone who attempts to walk across the bridge in the dark. To get there, follow the brown signs found on Hwy 15 when heading south of Paris or Hwy 24 when heading west of Paris saying, "Union Covered Bridge". The signs will direct you for each turn.

Case Notes
Haunted Lineage note: I have visited this location personally at night and walked across the bridge and did not have an experience similar to what is listed here. I did however, have an experience that seemed to suggest that there had been a fire in the area. My husband and I got extremely hot all of a sudden as if sitting by a campfire while getting mental flashes of a building on fire in an area that is now a field surrounded by trees. The building appeared to be a church, which is interesting because the bridge is named after Union Church that was in the area. A cemetery is now all the evidence that remains of the church, but I am unable to locate why the church no longer stands.
