Wolf House Museum
Wolf House Museum
Description
Wolf House Museum – Many weird sightings have taken place here, such as men in top hats appearing with canes and dishes being thrown from the walls. Voices have been heard, like conversations between families. It was once an early brothel where it is said one of the women was killed. Years later, a doctor who lived in the home committed suicide. The house has been used as a haunted house attraction for the Boy Scouts of America.

Haunted Lineage note: Previously listed as "Ellinwood". The official name is Wolf House Museum, Manhattan, KS.
The confusion likely stems from the existence of two separate "Wolf" properties in Kansas: the Wolf House Museum in Manhattan, KS (this location, at 630 Fremont St.) and the Historic Wolf Hotel in Ellinwood, KS (built 1894 by John Wolf). Both properties have paranormal histories, which may have led to the mislabeling. The Wolf House Museum in Manhattan was built in 1868 as the German Boarding House by John Frank, later owned by Dr. George Hazard Perry III (1875-1938), and finally by Max and Lucile Wolf (1941-1982) who donated it to the Riley County Historical Society.
