David Finney Inn

The David Finney Inn, now houses The Sonora Restaurant, an upscale bar, an event room, and a law firm, in a 15,000 sq ft building originally constructed in 1685. While the exterior retains much of its historic charm, the interior has been extensively remodeled for modern commercial use. The third floor consists of five apartments, two of which are rented through Airbnb. The second floor is leased to a law firm, with plans for potential guest rooms if a future owner desires. The first floor features a bar area, a private dining room, and a patio for restaurant patrons. The Sonora Restaurant offers gourmet comfort food, specialty drinks, live music, and a stylish, romantic atmosphere according to the owners.

The building's history dates back to its origins as either a home, a law office, or a tavern and inn, possibly built by Dr. John Finney or his son David Finney, a prominent lawyer. The exact original plans for the building are unclear and the original owner, Dr. John Finney had multiple uses for it soon after it was built. Over the centuries, the property has undergone numerous changes, including serving as a boarding house and hotel. It became The David Finney Inn once again, and efforts have been made to attract locals and tourists alike. The new owners have revitalized the property, focusing on high-quality food and a cozy atmosphere. The building is rumored to be haunted by one or two spirits, possibly Dr. John Finney or David Finney, who may still enjoy watching over the premises.

Dr. John Finney is said to hang around the bar and restaurant area, watching people as they enjoy their leisure.

David Finney is said to be the spirit who likes to roam about the apartments on the third floor.  Tenants who stay in the apartments are well aware of the unseen presence through its various paranormal activity.

Windows are known to open and shut by themselves, doors open and shut in the same manner, and lights go on and off. Faucets will run at will and then turn themselves off.
Items are moved not only in the same room but also removed from the room and found in different places.
