The crossroads where the paranormal and history meet.
People have been known to hear strange sounds while performing maintenance on aircraft, and see lights going on and off without explanation. They say on Halloween night if it is foggy out, a WWII aircraft will appear to land on the runway, then disappear into the fog.
According to local legend, if you drive out to Old Foamy Road at night, turn off your headlights, and honk three times, a goat man will appear in front of your car. Others say strange things happen to the car itself.
As you first start to drive down this road, to your left is Birch Hill. Numerous people have seen what look like glowing balls in the sky, that cast streaks of bright light everywhere. It has only been seen during the winter months at around 7PM or later.
Strange noises and bright lights are reported here. The church is said to light up, and graves have been seen glowing in photographs.
It is said that late at night, if you go over the Sunflower River Bridge, turn off your car, and roll down your windows, then cries for help and people yelling can be heard.
Several problems were encountered while building the airport, reportedly due to it being built on sacred Native American ground. Some employees and visitors have reported hearing or seeing strange things.
