There have been reports of a mysterious lady in white. According to witnesses and old photos of people who used to visit as guests of Mr. Robert Allerton, she was a frequent visitor. She has been seen walking along the pond behind the mansion, and in “her” room, putting on hats and gloves. She’s also been heard coming down the stairs and pacing the hall in front of that room.
That’s all I know. I’ve been to the house many times, and there’s always been a strange feeling in the air.
By the way, the gardens there are wonderful.
