Everyone that has been inside of the former YMCA at night agrees that it is haunted! Everyone says that it is haunted by an old janitor that loved his job and cared about everyone there. If you are inside the YMCA at night and you be very quite, sometimes you can hear doors opening and a garbage can squeaking through the halls when no one else is there.
Haunted Lineage note: Groundbreaking for the new Winona Family YMCA at 902 Parks Avenue on the Winona Health campus occurred in 2018, relocating the facility from its former location on Huff Street. The community organization provides wellness, aquatics, and youth programming in collaboration with Winona Health.
