The suspect vehicle was described as a 1999–2004 Ford Mustang, dark red/maroon. No connection to a motorcycle fatality on Fountain Lake Road in Seymour could be found at this time. The Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments Regional Safety Plan also specifically identified Great Hill Road as a corridor with significant horizontal and vertical curvatures and speeding issues. The road’s sharp turn referenced in the original story is consistent with these findings.
