Haunted Lineage: Now a museum, the Old Jackson County Jail was built in 1859 and saw many years of torturous use. One jailbreak involved the death of multiple people. Some of the more famous inmates include guerrilla leader William Clarke Quantrill of Quantrill’s Raiders and the outlaw Frank James of the James Gang and older brother to Jesse James..
