Heike’s Tombs

Legend says a man named Heike, who built stone monuments after having religious visions, went mad. People claim visiting the site at night feels overwhelming and taking a stone brings bad luck. Some even tell stories of car trouble or accidents near the tombs.

Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital

In the dark, you can feel an odd presence of someone else there with you. There have been reports of ghost sightings near the operating rooms.

Unionville Cemetery

This cemetery is home to multiple hauntings. One of the best known is the white lady. She is said to wander the cemetery around mid-night. University of Vermont – Converse Hall

Converse Hall is haunted by a former student who committed suicide there. Though never seen, he turns radios on and off and interacts with electrical equipment. The student electrocuted himself in 1998.

University of Vermont – Allen House

Center for Cultural Pluralism AKA Allen House – Has a ghost on the top floor. Though it doesn’t manifest visually, a cold presence can follow one around from time to time.

University of Vermont – Jacobs House

Center for Counseling and Testing – The former director saw the ghost of Captain Jacobs, a retired seaman who died there in the early part of the 20th century. Also, mild poltergeist activity has been reported there as recently as 1992
