In 1993 a man pulled a .22 caliber handgun and opened fire. He was subsequently shot by a campus police officer. One witness performing first aid said the gunman bled heavily and when paramedics arrived, stopped breathing. Faint lights have been recorded in the room on a video camera by a local ghost hunting group.
