Cold spots that move: localized drafts or actual temperature drops?

Walking through a hallway during an investigation and suddenly stepping into an ice-cold pocket of air is one of the most common things people report. It feels like stepping into an invisible refrigerator, but two feet to the left or right, the room is completely room temperature.

What makes them weird is when that cold air seems to drift down a corridor or follows you into another room rather than staying near a window or AC duct. Have you ever felt a sudden cold spot that actually moved while you were standing in it?
