Local lore maintains that if travelers stop their vehicle on the bridge at night, shift into neutral on the right side, and kill the engine, the spectral children will manifest to push the car across to safety, acting out a final, protective instinct from beyond the grave.
Haunted Lineage Case Note: The haunting is associated with a bridge that was relocated multiple times and then disassembled to be used in the city park in Attalla, but it does not seem to have been put back together yet. Map marker is on the park it was supposed to move to, but the bridge was last in place at 34.08018830021003, -85.97915198684102 over Black Creek.
