Haunted Lineage note: The complex was established in 1810 as the Bucks County Almshouse to provide shelter and care for the indigent, sick, and insane. In 1869, a hospital building was added to alleviate overcrowding, but conditions remained notoriously harsh. The almshouse closed in 1966, and residents moved to Neshaminy Manor nursing home on the same site the following year. The physical building used for the almshouse is closer to Almshouse road on the same property.
