The Lyric has been around for more than 75 years, and is one of the few theaters left with an upper balcony. There have been numerous accounts from workers there of hearing things, and feeling someone brush behind them. It is believed that a worker died in the theater years ago.
Haunted Lineage note: Opened in 1930 and designed in a blend of Spanish Colonial Revival and Art Deco styles, The Lyric Theatre is one of Virginia’s historic cinema venues and community arts centres located in downtown Blacksburg across from the Virginia Tech campus.
