Ghost lights appear from time to time. A woman’s voice is heard saying “Te papa” near the Sacramento River. The site was probably an Indian burial ground or mine shaft.
It’s the burial grounds of Indians, houses are now built on it, but at night if you sit outside you can hear Indians beating their drums.
It is said that the ghosts of battling Indians can be heard. Also, a few years ago, a man killed his wife’s lover there; it is said ghosts remain from this incident as well.
