Lady Grey haunts this building along with a ghostly Indian and soldier. There is also a young woman in the back yard that was murdered. And another woman inside the house. So, all together there are five ghosts there.

Haunted Lineage note: Built by Kentucky’s first U.S. Senator, John Brown. The site is famously haunted by The Gray Lady, believed to be Margaretta Varick, who died here in 1817. After her remains were moved to the Frankfort Cemetery without a marker, she is said to roam the house searching for her resting place. Other reported spirits include a Spanish opera singer who vanished in the gardens and a British soldier from the War of 1812.
