It has been recorded that the 13th floor of this world-renowned hotel is haunted by the ghosts of soldiers who were treated there during the WWII era. Unexplained noises and lights are seen here. Here is a history of the Biltmore Hotel: It served as a hotel in the early twenties, and then it was used as a hospital during WWII, where many people died. In 1968, they chose to turn it back into a hotel, and in 1983, they spent over 55 million to restore it.
Haunted Lineage note: The address was updated to reflect the correct official location at 1200 Anastasia Ave, Coral Gables, FL.
Built in 1926 by George Merrick, the Biltmore Hotel served as an Army Air Forces hospital (and later a Veterans Administration hospital) from 1942 until 1968, which accounts for the reports of WWII-era soldiers.
