The Oviedo Lights – These eerie lights can be seen from a bridge where a young man killed himself after he lost his love. It is well know to native Oveidans and has been seen by many, many people. The man’s ghost has also been seen in the area below the bridge.
Haunted Lineage note: The Oviedo Lights are mysterious blue orbs that have haunted Snow Hill Road for six decades. While most legends link the lights to the tragic 1963 death of a teen, science suggests they might be swamp gas. These blue lights appear primarily in the winter, most often around midnight, and always approach from the south on a bridge over the Econlockhatchee River.
