Description

The original historic Pratt through-truss bridge, built circa 1910, spanned the Conecuh River on Prestwood Bridge Road in Covington County, Alabama. The structure became the subject of local legend, with stories warning that stopping on the bridge and turning off your lights would invite a hostile entity to bang on your vehicle. The historic bridge collapsed in 1985 during an attempted relocation.
