Description

There is a ghost named Alice who is supposed to haunt the Joe E. Brown theater on campus.

📝 Case Notes

Haunted Lineage note: The space originally functioned as a gymnasium and music facility in the Administration Building (later part of University Hall). BGSU dedicated the theater in November 1961 to honor famous comedic actor Joe E. Brown, who had starred in a campus production of the play Harvey there in 1959.  The venue hosted its final production—the play Summertime—in late 2011 before closing permanently due to structural issues. The back section of University Hall housing the theater was subsequently demolished around 2016.
