Many strange occurrences have been reported over the years. Apparitions of different beings show up in the lounge on the 18th floor & in the parking garage accompanied by feelings of terror, strange smells & sounds. Rumor is that the front office is cursed – 6 suicides of people who worked in the front office since the hotel opened in 1973.
Haunted Lineage note: Research could only verify one documented death at this location – a suicide from the hotel roof in February 1989 (Los Angeles Times). The claim of 6 front office employee suicides could not be substantiated through news archives, police records, or historical documents at this time.
