Employees of The Old Spaghetti Factory claim to hear children playing in the basement restroom areas. Dishes are also known to fall to the floor, which is said to be the children playing games. A September 2004 update noted an emblem on the entrance that reads “Duarte High School 1904.” The building was originally constructed in the early 1900s as a high school, but it was abandoned in the 1960s after a new Duarte High School was built and students were transferred there.
