Apports and Asports
An Apport is the spontaneous, anomalous appearance or materialization of a physical object into an enclosed space without any visible physical entry point or mechanical conveyance. Conversely, an Asport describes the spontaneous disappearance or telekinetic removal of an established physical item from a secure location, sometimes reappearing hours or days later in an entirely different room.

In classical parapsychology and modern field studies, apports are most frequently recorded during high-intensity poltergeist activity or around an active living catalyst (agent). The objects involved are often mundane domestic items: antique coins, keys, rocks, religious medallions, or pieces of jewelry. Witnesses often report that an apported item arrives with acoustic force—such as dropping from ceiling height onto a hard floor—and can feel noticeably warm, cold, or static-charged to the touch immediately after arriving.
Investigating suspected apport phenomena requires controlled environmental baselines. Researchers establish fixed trigger-item arrays where objects are placed on level surfaces, marked with high-contrast chalk outlines, and monitored under continuous 360-degree video surveillance to rule out drafts, structural floor tilts, pest activity, or intentional human fabrication.
