Shipherd Hall – Phantom music has been noted coming from empty dorms when security was the only one in the dorm. There are many different pictures and eyewitness accounts as the college and town are over 150 years old.

Olivet College was founded in 1844 by Reverend John J. Shipherd. Shipherd Hall was named in his honor and originally served as a women's dormitory. After the original building was destroyed by a fire in 1959, a new Shipherd Hall residence hall was constructed in 1966 to continue housing students on campus.
